Get to know our Princess

Caliana Gonzalez is a 16-year-old junior at Bear Creek High School who balances academic excellence with a strong commitment to her culture and community. A proud member of the Apache, Navajo, and Mexican communities, Caliana has been immersed in her traditions from a young age and is an accomplished Fancy Shawl dancer. She continues to dance today and remains dedicated to honoring and sharing her cultural heritage.

Outside of school and the dance arena, Caliana is actively involved in her community. She regularly volunteers at Native C.O.R.E. events, powwows, and cultural gatherings, demonstrating her passion for service and giving back to others.

Caliana's future goal is to become a pediatric physician. To prepare for this path, she is already taking college-level courses while completing her high school education. Through her dedication to learning and service, she hopes to provide compassionate, high-quality healthcare to children and families while helping create a healthier future for her community.
